Beautiful site, pond and pool. Very tranquil and beautiful. Food was excellent and authentically local.

I stayed for two nights, but the villa made me want to stay longer when I left. The villa was clean and cleaned every day. The villa was located near the forest and the lake, so I felt close to the birds and animals. The staff were kind, and I looked forward to the cats' visits (cats are a familiar presence in this area). The villa has a restaurant, and since it was raining, I was able to enjoy traditional Malaysian food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In the morning, I was woken up by the birds' calls and the Islamic call to prayer (Adhan). It was a mystical experience that is hard to come by in everyday life.

Kunang Kunang Villas is a hidden gem in Langkawi that feels like stepping back in time while still enjoying all the comforts of a modern stay. The property is made up of beautifully restored heritage villas, each full of character with traditional Malay architecture and a warm, homely atmosphere. The grounds are lush and peaceful, with plenty of space to relax and take in the natural surroundings. What really makes the experience special is the staff – they are genuinely friendly and attentive, always happy to offer recommendations or help with small details to make the stay more comfortable. The pool area is serene, and the setting gives you a real sense of authenticity and charm that you don’t often find in larger hotels.

Loved the history of where each hut came from, the staff were very knowledgeable and fluent English speakers. There were a lot of mosquitos but thats expected when theres a big lily pond in the middle, all the room are equipped with bug spray and all the things you'll need for a comfortable stay Friendly cat host who just added further character to the place

The historic villas were lovely and beautifully designed. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was great. We were the only guests to use the pool while we were there which was a luxury. The pool was deep and beautifully set within the lily pond. The lunch here was also fantastic.

The property offers stay in original malaysian style - it offers of chalets in different size and a main building with excellent restaurant and even more excellent pool placed in a lake with see rose. This is the real highlight of the property! i recommend this property to everybody who prefers something exceptional and familiar to a standard “no name” hotel. Staff is very carrying, food and drinks in restaurant are excellent - which is the sane as anywhere in Malaysia. we enjoyed our stay here (8 days) a lot!

These heritage villas are super great! It's living like the Malayans in the past. The flats are well equipped, the pool is extraordinary, it's swimming in a pond with see roses, the staff is super nice, and the kitchen to eat there is just awesome. I can just recommend this hotel - it's really a great experience!

The vibe of the place was magical. From the moment we arrived we were treated so well. The villas were so unique and beautiful and the swimming pool in the middle of the lily pond has made it our favourite pool of our holiday (we have been to 5 other places) Like many other people we were torn as to exploring Langkawi and wanting to stay on site. My only regret is that we did not stay longer than 3 nights I could easily have done 2 weeks and really hope I will be lucky enough to come back one day.
